Minta Spencer is a Los Angeles-based producer, session harpist, and pianist redefining the possibilities of the harp. Known as a pioneer in hip hop harp and genre-fluid soundscapes, Minta seamlessly blends classical technique with contemporary innovation to create immersive, emotionally charged musical experiences.
Her collaborations span major platforms like Disney/ABC, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and live and studio work with renowned artists including Alphonso Johnson, Jamiroquai's Matt Johnson, Tish Hyman, Marco Polo, Ski Beatz, Stone Temple Pilot's Robert DeLeo, Wildchild, LaRussell and Simon Phillips. She has performed for icons such as Queen Latifah, Lil Durk, Kid Laroi and Mayer Hawthorne, and has opened for hip hop legends The Pharcyde and Elzhi.
She curated and led and original production, 1000 Strings, a landmark event featuring Grammy award winning percussionists and 21 harpists in support of LA Fire Relief. Other recent highlights include headlining a David Bowie tribute, a live performance of Miles Davis's Sketches of Spain, hosting her signature Aries Jam at The Baked Potato, and producing a documentary on Andre Nickatina with Empire Records. Her work—onstage and behind the scenes—is driven by a passion for collaboration, storytelling, and sonic experimentation.
